What to Expect
At The Destin Fishing Guide, we work with a hand‑selected group of top‑of‑the‑line charter captains who cover everything from short near‑shore trips to full‑day and overnight fishing adventures. Every captain we recommend is someone we personally know and trust, with the experience to give you a great day on the water.
You tell us about your group, your schedule, and what kind of trip you’re hoping for, and we’ll match you with the captain who’s best suited to make it happen. Our goal is to take the guesswork out of booking and put you on a boat where you’ll be taken care of from start to finish.
Your local guide to Destin fishing
The Destin Fishing Guide was founded with a simple goal: to help you find the right fishing charter for the people you’re bringing with you. Whether it’s family, friends, kids, or a serious group of anglers, we take the time to match you with a captain and boat that truly fits your trip.
When you step aboard, we want you to feel like you’ve been fishing here your whole life — not like just another customer checking a box on vacation. That local insight makes all the difference, and that’s what we’re here to offer.
My husband and I were born and raised right here on the Emerald Coast. We grew up on these waters and are lucky enough to call the Luckiest Fishing Village in the World home. Fishing has always been part of our lives, and we’re proud to share our little slice of heaven with those who come to experience it.
We work exclusively with top‑of‑the‑line charter captains — people we personally know, trust, and would send our own friends and family out with. At the Destin Fishing Guide, you’re not just booking a trip. You’re getting local knowledge, honest guidance, and a connection to the best fishing Destin has to offer.
Branding
Our logo was created with deep intention and rooted in a lifetime spent on the water. When building this company, I wanted something timeless, recognizable, and welcoming—something that felt familiar to those who grew up in fishing and intriguing to those just discovering it. Growing up, our world revolved around what we called a “number book”—long before technology took over—filled with handwritten fishing coordinates scribbled on whatever was available at the time: paper towels, napkins, wrappers, pages torn from anywhere. Those books told stories. The more worn the paper, the harder it was to read, the better the fishing spot usually was. The cursive lettering of Destin Fishing Guide reflects the handwritten notes that filled those books, while the textured background mirrors the mismatched, well-used pages that carried generations of knowledge and trust on the water.
The fish tail featured in our logo holds even deeper meaning. It is taken from an actual painting of the 2025 first-place tuna from the Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic—caught by my husband and brother-in-law in a moment that perfectly captures what fishing is truly about. Surrounded by our daughters, in-laws, friends, and family, we cheered as that fish tipped the scales and sealed the win. It was unforgettable—not just for the victory, but for the camaraderie, tradition, and togetherness that fishing creates. After days of designing and searching for what felt right, the answer was right in front of me, hanging on our wall at home. I knew then that our brand had to tell our story—one of family, heritage, and shared moments on the water—so that when people see our logo, they understand we’re doing this with purpose, heart, and deep roots.
